There are two proposed Greenway projects underway in Leitrim, one in the South of the county and one in the North. Both of these projects have huge support behind them with committees and communities supporting them. The proposed Greenways follow the old narrow gauge routes, and will provide great amenities to both the local communities and visitors to our lovely county. Rural communitees work hard to provide services and amenities to their area to improve the quality of life for those who live there. People give of their time, experience, and knowledge to make development in our communities happen, mostly behind the scenes. It is great to see all the new businesses that are starting in Leitrim especially to do with tourism.
