I have driven past the signs for Mount Usher Gardens for the past 20 years on the way to visit my friend in
Wicklow and at last this week thanks to Aoife doing the UCD Summer camp I have managed to visit the gardens. Although I love trees the idea of a tree garden is a little strange to me but I can’t tell you how in love with this garden I am, it is an incredible place with the smells of blooming trees and flowers wafting through the air at every turn. I was standing at a Handkerchief tree with great white leaves falling as I stood there. The river running through the gardens gives this constant sound of water and round every corner is another surprise. Can’t recommend it enough.
