We spent some time in Leenane last weekend and although it has been a few years since I have been there it is still one of my all time favourite places in the world. We were blessed with fantastic weather one of the days with clear blue skies. We went surfing and kayaking on Irelands only fjord, Killary fjord. The mountains surrounding Leenane are incredible both the library and the spa of the place we were staying at looked out at the mountains and it was a stunning view. We took all the small roads to places, the road from Leenane to Louisburgh and the road over Sheffery Pass to Westport are second to none. When the sun is shining there is no place in the world I would rather be.
