Carrowkeel just outside of Castlebaldwin on the way to Sligo is one of a complex of 14 passage cairns situated across a number of hills which are part of the Bricklieve mountain range. Carrowkeel is one of a series of limestone plateau aligned towards Knocknarea. There are three cairns on the top of Carrowkeel plateau. The views of the surrounding plateaus with the cairns on top of them are spectacular on a clear day. Carrowkeel is one of my favourite places to go, it signifies the great history that Ireland has dating back thousands of years.
