Eanna Ni Lamhna

We had the great pleasure of having Eanna Ni Lamhna here at The Old Rectory Country House to judge the Love Where You Live competition we entered earlier this year.  We are blessed to love where we live, we enjoy both the foresight of those who have come before us with trees that are nearly two hundred years old and then the news trees we have planted since we moved here 27 years ago.  And all the gardens we have established during this time and every Summer we plant endless pots with flowers and throughout the year the bulbs we have planted  everywhere make an appearance.  Although the garden wasn’t at it’s best when she was here it is in full bloom now and I don’t think I am exaggerating when I say that I think this year the flowers are stunning in the garden.  They have loved all the sun we have been enjoying over the past month, equally they will enjoy the rain which is pouring down now as I type.  The ground is in dire need of it at this stage, a strange thing to be saying in Ireland.
